This installment of the long-running Final Fantasy series is am improvement over the last few by shedding the emo characters and irritating story line, but unfortunately lacks the clever side quests and mini games of some of the earlier titles.

One of the most consistently entertaining and polished Japanese RPGs released on the PS2, Radiata Stories has a solid story line, engaging real time combat engine, and a branching plot affected by player decisions. A "New Game Plus" mode aids re-playability.

If you are 12 and a fan of Disney and Square Enix you might love this game for the high production values, but I found the gameplay to be too simple and easy, the plot too childish, and the characters too annoying to enjoy it.
